CSKA Sofia are the most successful Bulgarian team in history having has won 31 domestic titles and 19 national cups. Internationally, CSKA has reached two European Cup semi-finals, four European Cup quarter-finals, and one Cup Winners’ Cup semi-final.
They play their home games at the brilliantly named Bulgarian Army Stadium and finished second last season behind Ludogrets. They haven’t won the league since 2007-08 and that’s probably because they’ve had TEN managers since March 2010…
Their most famous player at the moment is probably goalkeeper Rais M’Bolhi who did brilliantly for Algeria in the World Cup.
This was the third shirt for CSKA last season and is really nice. It’s a pretty simple shirts but the faint pinstripes and simplicity of the shirt add to its charm. I managed to get this pretty cheap from Unisportstore and will hopefully be adding more Sofia shirts in the future.
